LASC Welcomes Renowned Artist

Internationally acclaimed artist Dick Termes will be featured at the Living Arts & Science Center’s Discovery Night program, MATH + ART! on Thursday, Aug. 4. Termes’ one-of-a-kind spherical paintings have been exhibited across the globe in such prestigious venues as the Smithsonian’s Air & Space Museum and M.C. Escher’s Centennial Congress in Rome.

During the Discovery Night Program, Termes will present some of his own work and models, and present a participatory hands-on workshop in perspective drawing.  Termes’ own spherical work incorporates 6-point perspective that provides a 360-degree picture in all directions.

The Discovery Night Program is recommended for adults and children, 8 years of age and up. Termes will present two, 90-minute sessions. Seating space is limited and pre-registering for sessions is recommended.  Info: www.lasclex.org or 252-5222.
