Autism Group Starts Fundraiser With Local Restaurants

My Autism Tribe of Lexington will launch a “Grazing Awareness” campaign on Tuesday, April 2 when local, participating restaurants will donate a percentage of food and beverage sales to this non-profit organization.

April is Autism Awareness Month.

With a global mission of educating the public about autism through fundraisers such as this, My Autism Tribe started a weekly podcast last year that already has a global reach.

“We are also working with several companies and board certified behavior analysts to create and execute a training program for certain organizations such as police and fire departments, and schools,” said Susan Scott, founder and executive director.

The list of participating restaurants includes BJ’s Brewhouse, Pie Five Pizza (all locations), Burger Fi (all locations), The BLVD Grill, O’Neill’s, Third Street Stuff & Coffee, Ranada’s, Saul Good (Hamburg) and Nick Ryan’s.
