Sayre Students Display Their Derby Hats

As part of Derby Days at Sayre week, Lower School students participated in a Derby Hat Parade on Thursday, May 3 at the downtown school.

Students designed and created their own Derby hats and also crafted a bed of roses for the winner. Other Derby Days activities included a Can Drive to benefit God’s Pantry, art projects, guest speakers and the Sayre Run for the Roses. In addition, five brightly painted wooden thoroughbreds, complete with colorful jockey silks, were placed in the Front Circle of the school located at 194 North Limestone Street.
