Pool Season

All Lexington neighborhood pools open for the season on Saturday, June 3.

Regular hours for Douglass and Picadome pools are Monday-Saturday, noon-6 p.m. and Sunday 1-6 p.m. Hours for Shillito pool are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, noon-8 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children ages 15 & under.

Castlewood, Southland, Tates Creek and Woodland Aquatic Centers opened for the summer on May 27. Regular hours for the aquatic centers are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, noon-8 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children ages 15 & under.

Pool passes are available for purchase at any aquatic center. Individual passes are $40. Family passes (up to 6 people in a household) are $200. Pool passes can be used at all seven pool for the entire season.

Parks & Recreation will host several special events throughout the summer:

Wet & Wild Wednesdays: Noon-4 p.m. June 7 at the Woodland Aquatic Center; June 21 at the Tates Creek Aquatic Center; July 5 at Castlewood Pool; and July 19 at Southland Aquatic Center.

Castlewood Block Party: Noon-4 p.m. Saturday, June 17. Castlewood Pool. Free event.

Dive-In Movie: 8-11 p.m. Saturday, July 22. Shillito Pool. Free event.

Back to School Blast: Noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. Douglass Pool. Free event.
