Elder Care Facilities Tour
Sixth Annual Event Emphasizes Preparedness
Welcome to the sixth annual Elder Care Facilities Tour, an award-winning, one-of-a-kind event in Central Kentucky sponsored by Lexington Family Magazine. Aging can be a difficult issue for everyone in the family to face, especially when a loved one is no longer able to live alone. The Tour is designed to help families address these issues before a crisis hits. This is your chance to be prepared.
On Sunday, Nov. 12, from 1:30-5 p.m., participating elder care facilities in Central Kentucky will host free, open houses. The open houses are designed so that older adults, their adult children and other caregivers can educate themselves about elder care housing options in a relaxed, unpressured atmosphere. In fact, most of the facilities roll out the red carpet and create a festive atmosphere for visitors. So come along. Visit as many elder care facilities as interest you. And bring someone you love. Cardinal Hill is located at the corner of Mason Headley and Versailles Road.
Cardinal Hill is a nationally known physical rehabilitation hospital. The 108-bed inpatient hospital provides therapy, nursing and medical care to children and adults recovering from catastrophic injuries or debilitating illnesses. Cardinal Hill has a large outpatient therapy center and Home Care Services, also located on Versailles Road.
