Holiday Hysterics at Derby Dinner Playhouse’s “Jack Frost Saves Christmas”

Derby Dinner Playhouse will open “Jack Frost Saves Christmas” on Saturday, Nov. 14 as part of its Children’s Musical Theatre Series. Directed by Tina Jo Wallace, “Jack Frost Saves Christmas” tells the story of a magical young boy, Jack, who must carry on the winter responsibilities of the retired Father Winter.

However, Christmastown is in holiday hysterics over an ever-growing heat wave caused by Father Winter’s absence. As Christmas Eve arrives, Jack discovers and accepts his talents and in doing so saves Christmas.

Public performances run Nov. 14, 21, 27 and 28, and continue Dec. 5, 12, 19 and 21. Performances at 9 a.m. start with breakfast, noon performances start with lunch at noon.

This production is most suitable for ages 3-12. All performances feature a kid friendly menu. Santa will be at every public performance and will visit every table.

In addition, school performances of “Jack Frost Saves Christmas” are available throughout the week and are scheduled for Nov. 23 through Dec. 18.
