  • Arlington Elementary
  • Booker T. Washington Primary Academy
  • Booker T. Washington Intermediate Academy
  • Breckinridge Elementary
  • Cardinal Valley Elementary
  • Harrison Elementary
  • James Lane Allen Elementary
  • Mary Todd Elementary
  • Russell Cave Elementary
  • William Wells Brown Elementary

The program, implemented through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, provides all children in participating schools with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the school day.

The program also encourages community partnerships to support the schools. The aim is to make a difference in children’s diets to impact their present and future health.

Selection was based on applications from schools that operate the National School Lunch Program and that have 50% or more of their students eligible for free/reduced-price meals.

Kentucky received $2.95 million in FFVP funding for the 2015-2016 school year, and each school will receive about $50 per student
