Free Day of Art, Science, Music at LASC

The Living Arts & Science Center is inviting families to come enjoy a free day of hands-on art, science and music on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Join the Center’s teachers, staff and special guests for new activities and annual events.

Kids can also visit live animals, make their own forest artwork, and visit the interactive exhibit, “How Small a Thing Can Be Pleasing: Contemporary Botanical Art by Kentucky Artists.”

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

A new session of classes at the LASC features Creative Parent/Child classes for toddlers and preschoolers, which will begin April 11 and May 9. Registration is open for Color Creations and Exploring Our Senses.

Both classes are for ages 2-4 and parents. Color Creations will meet Thursdays, April 11-May 2. Exploring Our Senses will meet Thursdays, May 9-30. Cost is $40 for members, $50 for nonmembers.

Classes for teens and adults include Explore Digital Photography, Painting the Surreal and Electronic Music Production and begin April 9.
