Make Your Own Baby Wipes

Baby wipes are a major expense to parents, second only to diapers during a child’s infancy. Using ingredients as handy as baby wash and paper towels, you can make your own wipes gentle enough for your baby’s tush and your wallet.

Supplies Needed:

Paper Towels

Sharp Knife

Hot Water

Baby Oil

Baby Wash

Empty Wipes Container

Step One

Cut the paper towel roll in half. Spring for a nice brand of paper towels, they need to be durable. Remove the cardboard tube in the middle.

Step Two

Mix together one cup of hot water, one tablespoon baby oil and one tablespoon baby wash. Pour mixture over paper towels in the wipes container. Let sit until the paper towels absorb the liquid. Pour out any excess liquid once paper towels are soaked through.

Step Three

One sheet of a paper towel is equal to one baby wipe. You can use a large tupperware container instead of a wipes box, whichever is easiest for you. Happy Diaper Changing!
