LCT to Perform 2 Classics in November

The Lexington’s Children Theater is presenting two classic this month: “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.”

“The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” based on the American classic by Mark Twain, was adapted by Producing Director Larry Snipes, who transforms the novel into a living, breathing piece of theatre. The one-hour performance tells the story of literature’s most mischievous boys, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.

Show times at LCT’s Main Stage Theatre are: Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 children.

“The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” will take the audience through a magical wardrobe into the land of Narnia. The performance is based on the beloved children’s classic by C.S. Lewis.

Show times at the Lexington Opera House are: Saturday, Nov. 24, 2 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 1, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $17 for adults, $14 children.
